From the very beginning of the match, the Irish had a few advantages to their side and they were smart enough to utilize them to the maximum.
For starters, the ball was seaming and the conditions were just a tad bit moist. Their medium-fast bowler, Johnston ensured that he pitched the ball on the good-length area and let it swing. However, the batsmen from Ireland had other ideas and particularly the O’Brien brothers who ensured that their team did not get bogged down by the left-arm spinners that the Bangladeshis seem to emphasize upon, whenever they are defending a score.
