Sachin’s ODI Ranking Moving Up.

October 14th, 2007 by prashant

I had noted in one of my earlier blogs that Sachin’s ODI Batsman rank moved from 23 to 12 within last 2 months or so. Now he has moved to #9. With the form and consistency he is showing currently, he should be getting to the top 5 and then who knows?

In addition to all the qualities that he has what is most amazing about Sachin Tendulkar is that he still plays the game with such passion and freshness.

Here is a link to one of my earlier blogs listing all those million reasons why we worship SR Tendulkar.

This is why I worship Sachin Tendulkar!!

I agree with you on Sachin. He has set very high standards for batting in the past. And even after so many years of international cricket, we still expect him to play as he played in his prime years. That’s expecting a little too much out of him. But Sachin has not let us down. He has answered his critics well by being lndia’s leading run scorer in the current future cup. He is definitely not the player that he was five years back, but he still contributes siginficantly to team’s purpose. And we all will be very happy if he countinues doing that.

After the current series against Pakistan, Sachin is #8 now. Ganguly #46, Dravid #24 (did not even get a chance to play), Yuvraj #11 (nice move up), Dhoni #18.
