India vs Australlia - First Test Match

December 26th, 2007 by marauder

Australians begun the day’s proceedings in a typical Aussie fashion. They were simply unstoppable and the first session by no means belonged to India. Things were going the way the Aussies would like it to, and not many would have predicted an Indian comeback in the second session. Thats the specialty of Cricket. Cometh the second session, cometh the breakthroughs and India got right back into the game. Haydon keeps getting better and better against the Indians, and he was simply unstoppable today. At the end of it all, Anil Kumble’s splendid 5-For spoke volumes of his fighting spirit. He led the way from the front, and the Indian’s could not have written the script any better. At stumps, i am sure the Indian’s were a much happier lot. Let us see, how the test match proceeds tomorrow onwards. Looking at day one, i would say Indian’s should feel more confident. But you never know. Let us hold on till tomorrow and follow the action !!

A formidable Indian batting line up beated all ends up by some devestating bowling by Lee & Clarke. Sachin unleashed with all authority, but failed to carry on the good work. Ganguly showed some form, but unfortunately not one could give him support. Indian’s have lost a big chance of capitalizing, and now they look down the barrels especially with three more long days to go. Australlia looks all set to seal this one, unless some miracle happens. Miracles at this stage, is very unlikely to happen. What do you guys feel ? Does India still have a chance in this test match ?

  2. jatanr Says:

I dont think India can win. They need 493 more to win. There was a small consolation when they did not lose any wicket during the 8 overs before end of day 3. but surviving Australian bowling for 2 days and making 493 runs seems next to impossible.

  3. marauder Says:

@jatanr : you are absolutely right !! Indian’s have lost miserably and they’ve gotta think hard and come back strong in the next test match.
