The comedy of errors that is Indian Cricket

April 26th, 2008 by Kris

It’ll be interesting to see the way our media handle this incident. When Shoaib allegedly hit Asif with a bat, such a furor was made and he was made to look almost like a demon. Now, since it’s the fan favorite Harbhajan involved in the controversy, I’m waiting with bated breath to see the kind of ‘headlines’ they’re gonna come up with.

And it was really annoying to see both Harbhajan and Sreesanth giving interviews as if nothing happened.

“We are brothers and we belong to one family and incidents like this happen. I’ve talked to Sree and there is no friction between us. No one should talk about this any more” - This comes from a gentleman who slapped his team mate over a trivial issue.

“Well; it’s no big deal. This thing has been blown out of proportion. It was nothing but a misplaced handshake” - This comes from a gentleman who bawled like a baby on field.

Just what the #$%^ are these people thinking? If it was not that big a deal, why the hell would Sreesanth cry like a sissy in the first place, that too knowing very well that all the cameras were focusing on him?

In my opinion, both these morons should be kicked out of the team for at least four or five matches. I’m sick of both these guys’ so called “aggression”. With the kind of bench strength we have right now, I don’t think these two players are indispensable. Selectors, are you listening?
