I Just Love This IPL!!
April 29th, 2008 by prashantI have not been able to see a lot of these matches (being on vacation for about 10 days with limited internet access) but quite honestly I just love to see all these teams with a fantastic mixture of international stars playing against each other. No one team seems to have lob-sided advantage. They all have reasonable fire power in batting as well as bowling and we should see a very tight finish for semi-final births towards the end.
It is fun and great site to see Dhoni and Michael Hussey batting together, Ponting and Ishant Sharma playing for the same team, Symonds and Afridi representing the same team, Shane Warne and Graem Smith in a huddle and many many more interesting combinations (including Bhajji smacking Sreesanth
).
I hope to catch more of those matches (may be some live
) and hope that IPL continues to flourish.

Oh and I forgot Warne bowling to Gilly/Symonds

I was about to say that; one of my most memorable moments was Symo blasting Warne all over the park. Man; what a hitting it was!!
On a side note - I’d love to see either Chennai Super Kings or Hyderabad Deccan Chargers win the tournament. The former is my home team and the latter is my favorite. I’d be happy either way.

How about Boucher keeping wickets for Kumble for Deccan Chargers!!

Frankly, Boucher was having a tough time keeping for Kumble! I dont think he has ever kept for someone so quick as a spinner! But he did a good job nevertheless! Brilliant stuff!

Today I saw AB de Villiers keeping wickets (that too up-front) with Glen McGrath bowling and that too at Eden Gardens.

How about the Rawalpindi express opening the attack for the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Garden with the crowd behind him, chanting his name. This is truly fantastic!!
Then it is Ishant Sharma from the other end….
